RUN IN TO THE END OF 2015 SEASON

hound slip

With only 3 drag hunting meetings remaining on the 2015 calendar, this weekends Non Winners Finale will be held out in Kerry Pike 13Th September. With a host of trainers looking to pick up a first win this season & the rest just hoping to get round safely with the blue ribbon Puppy All Ireland & Senior All Ireland to follow in the remaining two meetings.

This years Puppy All Ireland is going to the picturesque area of kinsale on the 20Th of September.

Pre meet report to follow.

The Senior All Ireland is heading out to a tough course in dripsey, i have walked this course some years ago and was told we would be only walking for an hour, after being out sampling some Irish hospitality the night before (not the best idea), after  walking for around 45 minutes i was 4 fields behind the lads who were marking the course, dying from drink, calf muscles burning like hell, pure vodka oozing from my pores & my cousin Adam roaring laughing at me , not to mention the bull staring at me as if he was ready to charge, if i could have got a cab, bike, bus, piggy back or tractor back to any road i would have trust me , so this year ill be doing no marking or pulling but i cannot rule out the drink.

Any way i made it to the end, Dripsey is a course that has it all in terms for a Senior All Ireland fast open running, long climbing hills, bog, forestry, the hound that wins the blue ribbon event will have to be on his game for the big day with a drag hunt that would be expected to be around the 35/40 running time.

With myself travelling over & a few people from Cumbria I'm looking forward to a good weekends sport in a great country with great company.

Best of luck to everyone lets finish the season on a high with some cracking drag hunts.
