CLOGHEEN PUPPY DRAGHUNT 06/03/11

Well after a long rest from september the first drag of 2011 was finally here hosted by clogheen at the haunted house co cork, there was a great turn out as expected after the long winter break and hard months of training the puppies by their owners, it was time to have a look at the potential of many of the new entries for 2011,  a total of 50 hounds registered in this catergory this year  10 hounds up on last year which tells me the sport is as strong as ever with some new members to the sport as well  this year, one being my cousin martina mcgrath and her husband don of northern hunt. As many of you already know martina comes from a cork family with a long history of draghunting in their blood,martina & don have 2 pups running  this year, dawstown diamond & garrys girl, bred by gary and adam osullivan  from their  2008 senior all ireland winner  black and tan, her late father garry gave over 50 years of unbroken service to the sport and today will be another milestone for the o sullivans in draghunting.
