The 1st senior drag of the season was hosted by Southern & Carrigaline Harriers at Ballygarvan today. In a course that took 33 minutes the hounds showed good pace from start to finish. When they showed on the finish Mossie and Blenchmoor were neck & neck but the Mayfield hound had a good turn of foot on the call to finish ahead of last years All-Ireland winner and was back to his winning ways. It was a good day for Mayfield magics choice now 7 years old ran a cracker to finish 3rd and son of magic taking 4th place lady Erin of Clogheen finished 5th and last seasons champion bitch midday magic took 6th ticket.. In the senior maidens the honors went to Towlers choice trained by Donie Duggan .of Griffen United he finished just a fraction ahead of Adrian Duggans Dusty of Northern Hunt & John O Sullivans Quiet Sam Of Griffen .Timmy Mccarthys Shears park Diamond finished 4th while Martina & Don McGraths Spartacus took 5th place & Just my luck triained by Eoin Kelly of the I.H.T. finished 6th..
